How to log in to the service using your credentials

  1. Visit the website of the service you want to access (eg. ELIXIR Intranet, Galaxy portal, Euro-Bioimaging Web portal,...). Look for the LS Login button there and click it. Note: If the service requires a specific registration process and you have not already completed it, you will be navigated via the process automatically.
  2. Once you click the login button, you will be asked to choose one of the accounts linked to your Life Science account (home organization - university or insitute account, commercial or community service Like Google, ORCID or LinkedIn or your personal LS account).
  3. Complete your login at the selected identity provider by entering your personal credentials.
  4. If you are accessing the service for the first time, you will see a page informing you about the personal data being released to the service. Review it and if you agree with data being sent to the service, accept the transfer.
  5. Confirm data release from the Life Science Login to the downstream service (eg. ELIXIR Intranet, Galaxy portal, Euro-Bioimaging portal,...). This step might not be needed, if you have previously visisted the service and "saved the consent".
  6. You are now successfully logged in to the service.

In case you are already registered to Life Science by your Home Organization or other third party, you can activate also your personal LS account using your set up credentials via User profile page:

  1. Log in to your User Profile page
  2. Select Change Password and set up your password.
  3. Like this you can log in to a service with either your local or your Home Organization, Google,.. account, and the service will recognise you as the same person.
